Scott, Muscatine, and Clinton community college representatives came to the expo to give students a better look on what they can experience at their colleges. Some of their programs were computers, health, and manufacturing and engineering.
Trisha Mattson, a representative, said, “I think this gives a better view of what they can do after high school.”
Students had a chance to talk to professionals about their career choices and what they need to do in order to get that career.
Allison Johnson, a freshman, said, “It was helpful to hear what I can do in order to get my career.”
The main target for the expo was the juniors and seniors, however all students were welcome.
Amanda Cruse, another representative, said, “The expo was mainly to show juniors and seniors what they should start out doing when first entering college.”
More than half of the graduated seniors get caught behind in college because they didn’t look or listen to the major parts of their college, which is why representitives came, said Mattson.
