 | | Photo by Tam Pham | | BALANCING ACT — Senior captain Hai Tran does a move where he has to balance his foot on his elbow. Hai has been the break dancing champion in Carthage, Missouri for two years in a row, and is thinking about doing a solo for the Variety Show this year. | Senior Hai Tran, and sophomore Tam Pham are part of the break dancing crew called Funktastic. They’re the most experienced in the crew which has earned them the captain position. Tran has been dancing since about mid-February 2004, and Pham has also been dancing for three or four years. Tran and Pham’s Funktastic Crew, which won the Variety Show last year, will not be performing this year, because the crew did not have enough time to put together a routine, but Hai may try and do a solo. Both Tran and Pham take time to explain their views and beliefs on break dancing.
